The Swimming Pool The Kitchen The Kitchen The Bathroom

The Gite is suitable for families with children over 8 or couples. It sleeps four comfortably but can accommodate two extra people in the lounge.

It unfortunately doesn't cater for pets or people with reduced mobility as the patio is terraced and there are three steps down to the bathrooms.

The pool is 9m x 6m with a constant depth of 1.5m and surrounded by a terrace, grass and flowers. It is heated from Easter to October and has a retractable cover to enable you to swim in all weathers. You can use the sun loungers should you need a relaxing day. The large meadow is suitable for outdoor games and we have a selection of tennis racquets, ball games, frisbees and boules you can use should you feel energetic.

Le Petit Bourg has two large bedrooms with bedside tables and wardrobes, one with a king size bed and the other with twin beds. The bath room and separate shower room both have toilets and wash hand basins.

The kitchen is fully fitted with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge with small freezer and dishwasher. There is also access to a washing machine should you need it. A wood burning stove in the kitchen provides heat for those cooler evenings out of season.

The lounge/dining room has seating for six people with a large sofa bed for those extra guests. There is a CD/radio player and a TV/DVD with freeview (if you need to keep up with the soaps!).

The terraced patio area has an outside table with six chairs and a bbq for your exclusive use. The garden is fully enclosed with gates to the front and rear of the property with plenty of secure parking for cars and motorbikes.

The Local Area

The Valleys of Le Loir and La Loire are steeped in history and provide many attractions with its chateaux, museums, abbeys, churches, cathedrals and troglodyte caves. It is also a great region for wine enthusiasts, the area being abundant with vineyards.

For the more adventurous there is golf, hiking, cycling, horse riding, water sports and of course the motor racing circuit at Le Mans. If you like the sea and sand the beach is only two hours away on the west coast. We have guide books, maps and information available in the Gite for your perusal.

The village has a shop/bar/post office where you can buy all your emergency essentials, and the owners Mika and Audrey are very welcoming. Bread and croissants are available daily but must be ordered the previous day, and the bar is open daily apart from Wednesday and Sunday afternoons and evenings.

Within 10 miles of the village are large supermarkets and many fine restaurants. We also have an English friend who will make and deliver freshly home-made food to your door if you don't fancy cooking.
